508 - The Christmas Special: Antiques, Jewelry, Silver and Art

The festive season will be celebrated with this highly varied interior sale, encompassing 427 lots and consisting of antiques, porcelain, earthenware, glass, objects d’art, silver, jewelry, clocks, Asian and tribal art, sculptures and fine art.
Amongst the highlights is lot 202, an exceptionally fine Louis XVI 'secrétaire à abbatant' by François Rübestück (circa 1722 - 1785, master 1766). Estimate: € 8.000 - 10.000. Several part dinner services are also included, as well as a collection of modern glass objects by Bořek Šípek.
Impressive is the 17th century Dutch silver beaker from Dordrecht. Estimate for lot 15: € 6.000 - 8.000.
Another example of great finesse is lot 61, a 20th century platinum, diamond and blue sapphire cluster ring. Estimate: € 20.000 - 25.000.
Also on offer is an Empire mantel clock 'The Astronomy Lesson' dating from circa 1810 after a design Jean-André Reiche (1752-1817). Estimate for lot 166: € 8.000 - 10.000.
Lot 370, a rare and large Lake Sentani Ondofolo bowl (hoite kabam) from New Guinea, circa 1860, is an important piece for tribal art collectors. Estimate: € 2.200 - 2.800.
The auction will conclude with a selection of artworks, of which the painting ‘Watering Cows’ by Willem Roelofs immediately stands out. Estimate for lot 411: € 30.000 - 50.000.
